126 goals registered in Presidential Cup

Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Competitions Manager, Gomezgani Zakazaka, has said 126 goals have been scored at the national play-off stage of 2016 Presidential Cup so far.

“It is a clear picture that this year’s competition will set another pace in the football history of Malawi. If our strikers have taken this pace, it means that the tournament will bring wonders. It is unfortunate that most teams from the districts and regions have failed to survive the chop,” Zakazaka said.

Mafco FC hit-man, Richard Mbulu, has an advantage of winning the cup’s Golden Boot award after scoring eight goals when his team hammered Mkweza Youth from Mchinji District 15-0 at Chitowe Stadium in Nkhotakota on Wednesday.
