“We will tour Ethiopia, Dubai, Lebanon, Qatar and I, alone, will also go to a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia,” Shaban said.

He said Chidothe and Chidothe company has played a big role in supporting them for the tour where they will stage a play titled Slavery.

About 11 members of the group will make the international tour.

They leave on August 2 and are expected back on August 31.

He insisted that 90 percent of the logistics have been sorted out.

“The tour comes up because I have been friends with one actor from Lebanon and he introduced me to Danish Rajal and then I proposed a collaboration. I was later told to write a script and they were impressed,” Shaban said.

The group which made it to the national finals of the yet-to-be held Superior Drama competition recently premiered their second play The Beautiful Hen Behind The Yowo Mountain at HS Winehouse in Blantyre.

HS Winehouse is the venue where the group debuted with Elections Day last year winning the hearts of many people.

And before they fly out on August 2, Young Travellers is out again with another production No Throne For Babies to be staged at the same venue.

Shaban is the brains behind the political play.

“We just want to call upon people to come and watch this play and they will not regret,” the actor and playwright said.

Young Travellers was formed in 2012.
