2020 calendar kicks off March

This follows resolutions made by the association’s executive committee members during a meeting that took place on Wednesday at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi.
The 2020 season will start with a Charity Shield match on March 14 while the TNM Super League will roll into action a week later.
Fam General Secretary, Alfred Gunda, said the other resolutions that Fam made during the meeting include ensuring that clubs have qualified coaches in line with Club Licensing Requirements.
Gunda said the association also agreed to maintain K1 million as surety for all Super League clubs and not the K3 million which
was announced earlier.
The Fam GS said the gathering also resolved that coaching positions for Under-17 and 20 National Football teams should be
advertised to give a chance to all eligible persons to apply.
“Indeed, during the Fam executive meeting, members made some resolutions in line with club licensing. Executive members also agreed to advertise the post of under 17 and 20 coaches in partnership with government. They also agreed to give nod to the senior coach to preparations for Afcon matches earlier.
