3 games in 7 days for Be Forward Wanderers
After being held to a goalless draw by Azam Tigers in the TNM Super League on Sunday, Be Forward Wanderers face a hectic week as they are set to play three league games in seven days.
Wanderers are expected to meet Blantyre United Thursday before playing against the league leaders Red Lions on Sunday. Both games are scheduled for MDC Stadium in Blantyre.
Super League of Malawi General Secretary, Williams Banda, said they want Wanderers to catch up with their counterparts on the number of games played.
“We had to use the Independence Day Celebrations [holiday] to accommodate Wanderers so that all teams should have an equal number of games played after two weeks,” he said.
Wanderers Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said they have no excuse but fulfill the fixtures.
“We went back to training on Monday to rectify our problems. We are sure that these two games will give us direction in the league. We have three games to catch up with our counterparts,” he said about the Nomads who are on position three with 13 points.
