70 in Evic Monthly Mug
Over 70 players have registered to take part in the Evic Monthly Mug slated for Country Club Limbe (CCL) today.
CCL Golf Committee Secretary Harold Phiri said they were impressed with the number of registered golfers.
“The Monthly Mug golf is an annual golf tournament competed monthly at Limbe, with a climax in December when all monthly winners shall contest in the winner of winners. There will be over 70 players,” he said.
Phiri hailed Evic Printing and Stationery for supporting the tournament.
“This is what we need for the game to continue being attractive and competitive,” he said.
Evic Printing and Stationery Suppliers Managing Director Vincent Chimberenga said golf gives them an opportunity to interact with their clients and others.
“Despite being a corporate social responsibility, we feel golf gives us the platform to discuss business and other critical issues in a relaxed atmosphere,” he said.
Last month’s winner Evance Songola is not relaxing following his recent exploits and has also registered to compete.
