72 golfers in Standard Bank Business tourney

About 72 golfers are expected to compete in a Standard Bank nine-hole tournament at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) Saturday.
The tournament will be played under the auspices of ‘Business Online’ (BOL), an online banking service offered by the bank.
The bank’s Global Markets Division Head of Sales, Gray Kazima, said they would engage existing and potential Business Online customers during the competition.
“Standard Bank continues to engage its customer base, of which a good number are golfers. We are excited that Business Online has channeled us all to this beautiful golf course to showcase our skills and commitment towards the sport.
“Through this tournament, we want to impress the notion that our world-class services and products are a point on which golf and business can always find common value,” Kazima said.
BSC golf captain, Keta Mulwafu, expressed gratitude towards Standard Bank for returning to the course after a long absence.
“We are excited to see the return of Standard Bank to BSC. As one of the top banks in the country, it is good for them to get involved in sponsoring the sport. Golfers need such kind of motivation from our partners in the corporate world if we are to collectively improve our standards,” Mulwafu said.
Early this year, Standard Bank hosted a ladies’ golf tournament at the same venue.
