8 teams out of T20 FMB Cricket
Eight teams have crashed out of the T-20 FMB Cricket Knock-out Tournament following round of-16 games played over the weekend in Blantyre City.
Electra Sales, Conforzi Plantations, Crown Pharmaceutical, Fattani Printers, KU Destroyers, Anchor Industries, Eazy Pack Ltd and Deekay Suppliers have since made it to the quarterfinals.
Electra Sales knocked out Pharmanova at Blantyre Sports Club by nine wickets.
Pharmanova made 44 runs and they were all-out. In response, Electra Sales made the same score in just nine-overs. Imtiyaz Limbada made 27 runs and Faizal Patel took four wickets.
In another match, Conforzi Plantations defeated OPCO Limited by 134 runs.
Conforzi made 186 runs in 20-overs with Ayub Right Price scoring 61 runs whereas Sohail Patel took three wickets.
OPCO managed only 53 runs.
Crown Pharmaceutical reached the quarterfinals after beating Fargo Limited by five wickets at Oriental Cricket Club on Sunday.
Fattani Printers knocked out Optichem Fertilisers by 96 runs.
In another match, KU Destroyers won against Universal Industries by 29 runs. KU made 152/4 in 20-overs. Universal managed only 123 runs and lost all wickets.
Anchor Industries won against Trasmeritime by 50 runs at OCC.
EazyPack progressed to the quarterfinals after defeating Eshani Products by five wickets at Indian Sports Club.
In the last round of-16 tie, Deekay Suppliers beat Kukoma by 34 runs at Indian Sports Club.
