Football Association of Malawi (Fam) recently donated materials to Lilongwe-based Play Football Malawi Academy.
The academy is preparing for life in Chipiku Division One, having finished as runners-up in Division Two in its debut 2016 season.
Speaking when presenting the donation at Malawi Olympic Committee (MOC) office in Lilongwe, Fam First Vice- President, James Mwenda, said he was impressed with the academy’s efforts.
“The association appreciates Play Football Malawi’s efforts in the development of football in the country. We thought it was important to donate 10 balls, 50 cones, and 10 bibs, one pump and coaching DVDs to the academy,” said Mwenda, who was also accompanied by Fam Technical Director (TD), John Kaputa.
The academy’s TD, Davie Mpima, applauded Fam for the donation, describing it as timely.
Fam also made a similar donation to MOC and another Lilongwe academy called Chigoli.
