In A-Division, Chimwemwe Chimwaza won the race but being part of the sponsors, he relinquished his prize and only took a trophy.

Chimwaza, playing off handicap 10, registered 162 strokes.

Second-placed Gerson Araujo, playing off handicap 14, finished with 163 strokes whereas Colonel Soko, playing off handicap 10, scored 166 strokes to finish on third position.

Tarang Makhecha, playing off handicap 11, scored 167 strokes to settle for fourth position.

In B-Division Peter Khaki, playing off handicap 18, emerged the winner with 171 strokes whereas Yotamu Saka, with a similar handicap, ended on second position with 179 strokes. Third-placed Edward Kauka, with a similar handicap, had 193 strokes.

Nasir Surtee won the nearest to the pin on hole 12.

Sailesi said it was a tough competition but he maintained his composure to win the battle.

BCS Managing Director, James Chimwaza, said they sponsored the championship for two main reasons.

“Firstly, it is the community that patronises the game that contributes to our growth, so it is a question of giving back to them in a way that they should have an opportunity to relax. Secondly, we have seen that it is important to make our business community aware of the digital transformation that we need to connect with if we are to remain competitive to the nation in this hybrid infrastructure,” he said.
