The Africa Fashion and Arts Festival will be celebrating their fifth anniversary. this year and will be held in Blantyre in November.
Founder of Africa Fashion and Arts Festival and Regional Director Lush Africa, Lorraine Kljajic, said Wednesday, they decided to move the event from Lilongwe to Blantyre this year.
“A lot of people have been demanding the event to be hosted in Blantyre. So, we thought we should celebrate our fifth anniversary in Blantyre,” Kljajic said.
With several events affected by Covid-19 pandemic, Kljajic, said they were hoping that come November, the situation will be normal.
“We are currently putting provisions for a digital show too. As part of the celebration, we have a number of activities lined up. We will be having a golf tournament with family fun attached to it and there will be fashion and arts during the family golf day too,” she said.
Some of the other activities set to take centre stage during the fifth anniversary include dinner gala and awards, fashion show and beauty masterclass.
“As usual, we are expecting participation from across Africa and our call for musicians, designers, craftsmen is now live via our Lush Africa Website,” the founder said.
She said the registration was now open and that it was strictly online with the closing day being July 31 2020.
The platform has been key in promoting the creative industry by among others, giving models and fashion designers to show the best of their talents.
