Musician Agorosso, real name Lloyd Phaundi, who is currently in Hungary on a cultural exchange programme, has been involved in school charity shows.

The award-winning artist said yesterday that he has been performing in different schools.

“I have been very busy since I came last month but it’s all good. I am continuing with schools charity shows together with Tanzanian and Hungarian artists,” Agorosso said.

The singer and guitarist last Saturday performed at Lallibela where he was fundraising for the injured children in Mali.

Agorosso, famed for songs such as ‘Malongelo’ and ‘Mafafanga’, last weekend also had a private performance with Tanzanian artists based in Hungary.

“But as I said, there are more shows I will be involved in before coming back home. It has been exciting performing to students in schools and I am looking forward to more shows and I am glad that I have managed to sell Malawi to the shows I have held,” he said.

The musician is touring Hungary for the second time having also visited the country in 2015.

The trip has been organised by African Hungarian Union, a mother body of the Hungarian Trade and Cultural Centre.

He is expected back home on July 30.
