Agorosso performs at Fina World Championship 2017

Award-winning musician Agorosso, real name Lloyd Phaundi, who is currently on a cultural exchange programme in Hungary, on Saturday, had a rare opportunity of performing at the Fina World Championships 2017.

This year, the Fina World Championships 2017 is taking place in Budapest, Hungary and started on July 14 and will end on July 30.

The Fina World Championships sports disciplines such as: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, synchronised swimming, and water polo.

Agorosso said yesterday that he was very happy to perform at the tournament where he managed to share the stage with several other artists.

“It was a special moment but I am happy I represented the country well. It was a busy time for me,” he said.

“I performed at Balaton and I will have another performance at Margitzsiget, Budapest on July 28. I will wind up my performances in Hungary with a private performance in Slovakia on July 29,” he said.

Agorosso, who left in May, is expected to return home on July 31.

In Hungary, the musician has also been involved in schools charity shows.

Agorosso has performed in different schools.

“I have been very busy since I came here but it’s all good. The schools charity shows have been good, performing together with Tanzania and Hungarian artists,” Agorosso said.

The singer and guitarist also performed at Lallibela where he fundraised for the injured children in Mali.

Agorosso famed for songs such as ‘Malongelo’ and ‘Mafafanga’ is touring Hungary for the second time having also visited the country in 2015.

The trip has been organised by African Hungarian Union, a mother body of the Hungarian Trade and Cultural Centre.
