Airtel Malawi’s Senior Properties Officer Emmanuel Kaunda said they want more people to be par t of the competition hence coming out with more goodies.

The move comes barely two weeks after Airtel Malawi recently announced that it has partnered Times Television in season two of the competition.

The mobile company revealed during the evictions in Lilongwe that it has pumped in K4 million as part of its sponsorship to the dance competition.

Airtel Malawi’s Brands and Communications Manager, Isabel Kachinjika said recently that the sponsorship is one way of promoting talent.

“As Airtel, we believe in empowering people to be able to live their dreams. That’s why we have also been involved in this competition.

Ka Jive Dance contest allows people to be indentified and awarded for their skills. Last season we came in towards the end of the competition. This season we want to be there from the start,” said Kachinjika.

Timescom Business Manager Heggar Kalowekamo said yesterday that Airtel’s addition of give aways is simply bringing to the Ka Jive competition three dimensions of interactivity, convenience and excitement.

“Just by posting pictures on Instagram with the hashtag#airtelkajive or through commenting on Kajive post on Facebook enhances interactivity with the audience,” said Kalowekamo.

He also said the introduction of Airtel Money payment mode also brings convenience to the public in terms of buying tickets for the shows.

“The incentives which include Airtel branded smart phones and T/shirts among others will motivate people to participate in voting,” he said.

Meanwhile after evicting six contestants in Lilongwe two weeks ago, the Ka Jive Dance competition continues this Saturday at Al Pacino’s Club 360 in Blantyre.

The competition will see 22 contestants battling it out where some contestants are expected to be evicted.

Kalowekamo said all is set for the eviction show in Blantyre with musician Piksy set to perform as a guest artist.

In season one, the competition was only held in Blantyre but this time it has extended to Lilongwe.
