Airtel opens express shop in Zomba

Airtel Malawi on Wednesday opened an express shop in the old capital city, Zomba as one way of giving better services to its customers.

Airtel Malawi Chief Commercial Officer Charles Kamoto said the firm has devised a strategy to reach out to its customers.

“We have opened this shop as a way of providing quality services to our customers. This is one of our many shops we have opened in the country.

“In the shop, customers will be provided with all GMS services. For example, customers will be able to change damaged sim cards, have Airtel money services, be given support on internet services and also be able to buy mobile phones,” Kamoto said.

He said the opening of the shop represent Airtel’s commitment to offer telecommunications products and services in a modern, amazing atmosphere whilst according customers the best convenience and telecommunications solutions.

Zomba City Deputy Mayor Davie Maunde said he was happy that Airtel had opened the shop in the city.

“Most people from Zomba were going to Blantyre to have internet services, but now they will have them at their door step.

“I am proud to say that Airtel represent a meaningful caring brand with people at heart. Zomba keeps growing every day and new opportunities for businesses to grow and succeed are arising,” Maunda said.

He further said Zomba City is ready to work and cooperate with the private sector.
