Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has released the 2019 football calendar, highlighting activities which will be undertaken next season.
According to the calendar, Fam Executive Committee meeting is set for this Saturday, followed by the Airtel Top 8 draw on February 28.
The TNM Super League season is set to kick off on April 6 and wind up on December 21.
The statement also indicates Club Licensing System deadlines, official dates for Fifa friendly matches and competitive games for senior national football and under-23 teams.
Malawi beach soccer national team is also expected to compete in the 2019 Cosafa Beach Soccer in Seychelles.
Additionally, African Nations Championship matches between Malawi and eSwantini, formerly Swaziland, are set for May 12 whereas Cosafa Senior Challenge Cup will take place in Zimbabwe from May 19 to June 1.
The Carlsberg Cup will be re-launched on April 23 and concluded on August 5.
The Fisd Challenge Cup will be launched on August 20 ahead of the December 15 kick-off.
Fam has also accommodated Caf competitions following hints that teams such as Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers are contemplating participating in continental tournaments for the second successive year.
Fam Competitions and Media Director, Gomezgani Zakazaka, said Fam was obliged to change the calendar.
“In case a change is applied, the newer version of the calendar will be communicated to all football stakeholders,” he said.
