Alex Mzomera Ngwira replaces late Stuart Mbolembole

Chitipa United coach Alex Mzomera Ngwira has been named National Coaches Association (NCA) chairperson replacing the late Stuart Mbolembole who died on July 23.
NCA General Secretary Davie Mpima confirmed Ngwira’s appointment saying it was done in accordance with the association’s constitution which calls for the second in command to take over the post until the next elective assembly.
“Our constitution is clear and we will wait for the next assembly to endorse the decision,” he said.
Mpima said the association was struggling to raise K1 million to hold an Annual General Meeting.
Meanwhile, Ngwira said he would ensure that the association’s code of conduct is adhered to.
“We do not want chaos in our association. We are also planning to introduce certificates that will be given to active coaches. The certificates will be in line with their grades and it will be given every season,” he said.
NCA is expected to go to polls next year.
