All Shades of Beautiful Fashion show is here
Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre will Saturday play host to All Shades of Beautiful Fashion show spearheaded by House of Xandria.
Xandria, owner of House of Xandria, said Thursday all was set for the fashion show which she described as unique.
“All Shades of Beautiful is a fashion initiative started by House of Xandria to bring social change using fashion,” she said.
Xandria said the fashion show will provide a platform for persons with disabilities to show their talents.
“This is not a competition but this is meant to give a platform to persons with disabilities to show their talents,” she said.
Xandria said her inspiration to host the fashion show was drawn from the current representation of persons with disabilities in the fashion and arts industry.
“Apart from the stigma, I discovered that they have talent but what lacks is someone to motivate and give them a platform to showcase their ideas and talent, hence coming up with this idea,” the fashion designer said.
Xandria said this is an ongoing event and that it is more than just a fashion show.
“This is a fashion initiative to bring about social change and we will strive to bring out the best and people will experience something unique for sure,” she said.
Xandria said the show is set to bring models with disabilities, musicians and poets among others.
