Allan Chirwa, Nepman in Covid-19 track collabo

Gospel musician Allan Chirwa, has collaborated with secular music star Nepman in a track titled ‘Corona’. The ‘Ebenezer’ star, has added to the list of several artists, who have released songs speaking volume of Covid -19 pandemic.
The track was produced at M Studios by Steve Meleka. Chirwa said he thought it wise to be part of several artists, who have worked on Covid-19 pandemic tracks saying as an artist he has a duty to inform apart from entertaining.
The song has nothing new in terms of messaging as also talks about the preventative measures that people need to follow.
In the song, he also talks about unity as well as looking up to God to fight the pandemic. The instrumentation in the track is also not new as it similar to the several praise and worship songs which have been done but the only difference is that Chirwa and Nepman have powerful voices that are commanding when it comes to a song.
It is the same with other tracks where Chirwa opens it up followed by some backing voices before Nepman joins in with his own style which has seen him standing out in most of the songs he has collaborated with other acts. “The song is urging people to put our faith in God so that he can heal our land. There is also a message that together we can fight Covid-19 pandemic regardless of the political affiliations,” Chirwa said.
“I felt doing a song with him would help impact greatly on people in terms of message,” Chirwa said. Chirwa has also indicated that he is working on a live spiritual and worship DVD.
Apart from Ebenezer, some of Chirwa’s albums are Kufanana Naye and The Spirituals. Nepman stars with Lucius Banda’s Zembani Band and came to the limelight with the track ‘Nalelo’.
