President Peter Mutharika is expected to arrive Monday from the United States where he attended the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Government spokesperson, Nicholas Dausi, said Sunday that Mutharika would arrive in the afternoon through Kamuzu International Airport.
“The President will arrive through Kamuzu International Airport at 12:30 tomorrow [Monday]. We expect a mammoth crowd to come fourth and welcome the President. That’s all I can say as of now,” Dausi said.

Dausi could, however, not comment on what would happen immediately after the President’s arrival.
