Amos Bello returns, intends to rejoin Mighty Wanderers

OPEN TO OFFERS—Bello (centre)

Former Mighty Wanderers striker Amos Bello has expressed his interest to rejoin the Lali Lubani Road outfit having returned into the country.

Bello claimed that he was a free agent after leaving Nigerian Club Ibadan City, whose details on the internet were sketchy.

His agent Hudson Kayira said Bello, who left Wanderers during 2018 season having scored seven goals, was already in discussions with Wanderers.

“We met the secretary to the board Humphreys Mvula where through the primary discussions they expressed strong interest to resign the player. They just want to be sure that Amos is injury free. We are still keeping it open as they are not the only club interested in the player.

Amos is fit and in good shape. He left the Nigerian club on mutual consent, having asked to leave. He is now a free agent,” Kayira said.

Bello, 27, said he has unfinished business in the country and will play for any team that will meet his demands ahead of the new season.

“I am fit and better than before, having played for I Ibadan City for almost a season and half. I scored 16 goals for them and I can’t wait to continue doing what I love most. Any team that wishes my services will not regret. I am a better player now than I was three seasons ago,” he said.

However, Wanderers acting Public Affairs Manager Ernest Maganga said the player was welcome at Wanderers.

“We are not officially aware but, as a club, seeing Bello return would be a welcome development. The player did very well during his short stint with the club. All I can say is that we wish him all the best,” Maganga said.

Bello left Wanderers after injuries affected his performance, costing him game time.
