Lilongwe-based musician AMP real name Alexander Passo has said he will release his debut Extended Play (EP) in November this year.
He indicated that he was still working on the title of the EP.
The afro-hip hop artist, however, said that there were a number of tracks that he has already finalized and that they were ready for taste and they include ‘Chabe’, ‘Falling In Love’, M’badwo Uno and ‘Zitaye’.
“This is one of the presents I would like to give my fans. It will be there as one way of thanking them for supporting my career,” AMP said.
Despite making progress in his music career, the up and coming artist, said they were failing to make their presence felt due to lack of support.
He said that some of the artists do not have managers hence doing everything on their own.
“Working without managers makes us forget our role at times, our role is to make music while a manager works on the other areas. It is difficult really and once you have your music on the ground, people share for free and you get nothing,” AMP said.
He appealed to event organisers not to sideline up and coming artists in their shows but rather utilise them to bring variety and promote them.
