Andy Seko accomplishes ‘Zidzayenda’ mission
Gospel music lovers in Lilongwe on Sunday flocked to Sheaffer ICA Marque to witness gospel artist Andy Seko’s Zidzayenda double album launch.
The ‘Usova’ hit maker stormed the stage at around 4:20pm while singing ‘Waludzu ndi Njala’, one of the songs in the album.
He also performed ‘Usova’, ‘Bodza’, ‘Akusowa Mtendere’ and ‘Zidzayenda’.
When auction time came, Seko smiled all the way to the bank as the highest bidder bought Zidzayenda at K750, 000.
Speaking during the launch, Seko thanked patrons for being there for him through thick and thin.
“I am very happy that you have come to support me. I don’t take this for granted. This will inspire me to work hard,” Seko said.
On his next move, Seko said he is planning to re-launch the album in Mzuzu and Blantyre cities, respectively.
Artists who performed during the launch included Faith Mussa, Henry Masamba, Miracle Chinga, Neligo Women’s Choir, Martha Mituka, Farai Chazima and Evance Meleka.
The show was promoted by the newly established Magic Promotions.
Magic Promotions acting Media Manager, Chris Loka, said Malawians should expect exciting events from them.
