African Boxing Union super lightweight champion, Anisha Bashir, is confident ahead of her fight for the vacant Commonwealth Female lightweight title in the United Kingdom, Saturday.

Bashir will face Samantha ‘SJ’ Smith in a 10-round contest at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

The Malawian arrived in London on Monday in the company of her Manager, Craig Rousseau, and Trainer Clyde Musonda.

The Zimbabwean trainer said they watched Smith on YouTube and devised a good game plan so as to win the contest.

“Anisha will be her [Smith] toughest opponent ever and it will be an uphill task for her [Smith]. Chances of Smith being Anisha’s next victim are high. This is my own analysis as I have been in boxing for 32 years,” he said.

Bashir, 20, has won seven bouts [all knockouts] and lost five times whereas Smith, 38, has eight wins, including four knockouts, and a defeat.
