Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime alongside compatriots, Teacher Mpamire and Cotilda Inapo jet into the country on Thursday ahead of their performance at College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre.
The trio will be performing in the country courtesy of Impala, a communication and marketing agency.
“All is set for the event,” said Impala’s official Petros Mazunda yesterday.
Mazunda said Kansiime was coming back to Malawi by public demand and that tickets have already started selling.
“The tickets will not be sold at the gate on the day of the show so people must get them in advance and quickly because they are selling fast,” he said.
Mazunda also said that there was a chance for people to get free tickets by liking and sharing a poster on Facebook on Impala page.
According to Mazunda, tickets are selling at Steers in Blantyre, Polytechnic, College of Medicine Sports Complex and Multichoice offices as well as Steers in Zomba and Crossroads in Lilongwe.
Kansiime will be performing in the country for the third time but the first time in Blantyre as her two previous outings were in Lilongwe courtesy of Qoncept Creatives.
The comedian, who has been referred to as ‘Africa’s Queen of Comedy,’ has also been selected the DStv brand Ambassador.
According to available information, Kansiime’s comedy style tends to focus on aspects of her personal life.
She said: “I like talking about things that are going on in life, because that’s always going to be different and original,”
Mpamire will also be performing in the country for the first time and he said recently that he was looking forward to giving out the best.
