Archbishop Mark Kambalazaza of Charismatic Redeemed Ministries International on Saturday afternoon finally launched his debut book titled From Catholic Priest to World Evangelist: The Incredible Life story of Archbishop Dr Mark Kambalazaza at Golden Peacock in Blantyre.
The book, published by Likhula Publications driven by former Malawi Writers Union (Mawu) President Sambalikagwa Mvona, saw it fetching more during auction, with the highest bidder, Seyani and Fatima Basikolo, getting it at K600,000 followed by President Lazarus Chakwera on second with K500,000 while the third bidder got it at K300,000.
The book details the life of Archbishop Kambalazaza and, in one of the chapters; he takes time to talk about how God deals with plagues citing Covid.
“The message is about the person in me, who did not know that he has a different calling all together, born in a Catholic Church, raised in a Catholic Church, goes to seminary but falls sick for 11 years and dies in 1991 and then becomes priest in 1993,” he said.
Presidential Adviser on Religious Affairs Reverend Brian Kamwendo said Chakwera worked with Kambalazaza for a number of years.
Regional Officer in the Ministry of Information Arnold Namanja represented Minister of Information Gospel Kazako as guest of honour.
The launch was spiced up by poetry performances by Luckier Chikopa, Mashallo Samilo, Sylvester kalizang’oma and Florence Kanyoza.
Chichiri Cultural Troupe also performed as well as Church Choir.
