Actor and filmmaker Ashukile Mwakisulu has said that they are almost done with the new film All We Have Is Us and that they have started planning for the launch.
With the situation as regards Covid yet to normalise, the Blantyre-based filmmaker said they are looking at Easter to launch it.
Mwakisulu, who is the brains behind Choices soapie which airs on MBC Television, said recently that the film will be dedicated to actress Juliet Julz Royo Chikweba.
Royo Chikweba was a member of the Choices soapie and starred in most of the episodes until her death early this month.
The poster of the film has been trending in some of the creative platforms on social media.
Apart from Royo Chikweba, who Mwakisulu praised saying she did well in the film, other members of the cast include Simunye Nyamali, Hope Chisanu and Mwai Simbota.
He said that All We Have is Us is based on the life and experiences of Elsie played by Simbota, her background, upbringing and everything else.
“We mainly focused on her and decided to do a film about her and this is what we never showed in Choices,” Mwakisulu said.
Another film Fatsani by HD Plus is also set to be premiered in April in Lilongwe.
