Pan-African Kwesé Television will Friday night broadcast live fights featuring Malawian boxers at City Sports Centre in Harare, Zimbabwe.
In a press release issued Wednesday, Kwese said the fights, dubbed New Dawn, would feature Africa’s established fighters, including Zimbabwe’s heavyweight Elvis Moyo taking on Knife Didier from the Democratic Republic of Congo for the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Africa Heavyweight Title bout.
In undercards, Monalisa Sibanda (Zimbabwe) will challenge Malawian Eneless Nkhawanti in an eight-round Super Bantamweight bout.
Other Malawians, Aubrey Masamba and Enock Msambudzi, will take on Zimbabweans Thinashe Mwadziwana and Thembani Mhlanga, respectively, in non-title fights.
In another main fight, Zimbabwean Tapiwa Tembo will go up against Tanzania’s Swedi Mohamed in a WBF Africa Bantamweight Title bout.
“As the exclusive broadcaster across the continent, Kwesé brings you ringside action straight to your home.
“Boxing fanatics will be able to watch the fights on Kwesé Free Sports and the official Kwesé App from 20:00CAT. The bill consists of two main bouts and three undercards, one of which is the first -ever female bout for this series. —Kwesé
