Azam Tigers, Fisd Wizards and Epac FC intend to beef up their squads during the TNM Super League transfer window which re-opens this weekend.
However, the clubs have refused to disclose the identity of potential targets to avoid jeopardizing the deals.
Tigers, who finished the first round second from Big Bullets, have earmarked three new signings to add steel to the side in its quest to win the league.
“We need a good cover in goalkeeping department. We also need to add a central defender and one midfielder. We will contact their clubs by this weekend. ,” said Tigers’ technical director, Robin Alufandika.
Tigers usurped the second position with 26 points from 14 games after they beat Epac 4-0 on Sunday at the Kamuzu Stadium.
Be Forward Mighty Wanderers are now on third position on goal difference.
Wizards chairperson, Mike Tembo, said they would be looking for experienced players during the window.
“We have a good squad, but lack of experience is betraying us. We will approach experienced players that can add value to the team. We won’t sign any player for the sake of signing,” Tembo said.
Wizards, are at the bottom of the table with seven points from 12 games.
Epac coach Abas Makawa said it was a must for the team to beef up the squad after a troublesome first round.
The Lilongwe based-side lie on position 14 with 11 points from 14 games.
“Some of the players lack commitment. It’s only right and proper to sign new players. I have some players in mind, but I want to discuss with the sponsor before I reveal the identity of the players,” he said.
