Humbled Azam Tigers are determined to return to winning ways in the TNM Super League when they face Mzuni at Kalulu Stadium Saturday.
Tigers have endured a bad start to the second round having lost once and drawn twice in three games.
Yet, they finished the second round strongly when they were second on the table behind leaders, Big Bullets.
At the start of the second round, Tigers have lost to Mafco and they drew against Kamuzu Barracks and Epac.
Tigers’ technical director, Robin Alufandika, said they were figuring factors that seem to haunt the club at the start of the second round.
“This game will show us whether we have rectified the mistakes or not.
But it is our wish to win to keep our dream alive to stay in contention for the title,” he said.
Tigers are now fourth on the table having collected two points in the do-or-die round. The Kau-Kau charges have 28 points from 17 games. Mzuni lie on position 14 with 12 points from 16 games.
Mzuni coach Alex Ngwira said they intend to beat the relegation trap.
“We are working hard to stay in the top-flight league. It will not matter who we play and where. All we want is to earn maximum points,” he said.
In another match involving brothers in arms, Mafco take on Airborne Rangers in Dwangwa Saturday.
Mafco are seventh on the table with 25 points from 16 games while Airborne are on position 13 having played 16 games to amass 13 points.
