Mighty Wanderers striker Babatunde Adepoju has said he is keeping his fingers crossed on a possibility of a Kazakhstan side to process his visa for him to travel for trials.
Recently LLP Kyzl-Zhar FC from Kazakhstan, invited Adepoju for trials during the team’s training camp in Turkey.
However, due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, Adepoju could not travel to South Africa for visa processing to join the team in Turkey for preseason training.
“So I am waiting for the team to process visa direct from Kazakhstan if possible. They have assured me that they will do something about it so I am hoping that they will do that before the transfer window closes,” he said.
Adepoju said, with the transfer window expected to close on January 31, he was hoping for a miracle to happen.
“This means that we have few days before the transfer window is closed so I am only praying that everything has to go on smoothly so that I can join the team in Turkey. If this fails, them I will have to join the team during the next transfer window,” he said. Wanderers Chairperson Simon Sikwese said he was aware of the deal.
