Battle for K1.5 million
Drama groups from Chiradzulu and Zomba last weekend battled it out on stage for slots in the regional final in the K5 million Superior Drama competition which was launched in Blantyre on June 26.
The competition is now on district level before moving to regional and then national where the winner is expected to walk away with K1.5 million with second and third places pocketing K750,000 and K500,000 respectively.
The competition is being run by Superior Events Management through Superior Films in partnership with National Theatre Association of Malawi (Ntam). So far, Fortune Theatre from Chiradzulu and Takomana Drama Group and Umunthu Theatre have made it to the regional final.
