Be Forward rewards Wanderers
Japanese automobile company, Be Forward Limited, has rewarded Wanderers’ 32 players with boots and travelling bags for winning 2015 Carlsberg Cup recently.
Wanderers general secretary, Mike Butao, on Tuesday said each player received a Be Forward-branded pair of boots and bag.
“The bags came already branded with the players and technical panel’s names on them,” Butao said.
“This is a big boost ahead of the Standard Bank Knock-Out semifinal match in Lilongwe. The players now know that the sponsors will always reward good performance.”
Butao said the donation has set a big challenge for the players “to perform in both the cup and remaining league games. The team is ready. We want to get this cup as well.”
Wanderers vice-team manager Steve Madeira has since indicated that players such as Francis Mlimbika and Jabulani Linje are available for selection after recovering from injuries.
However, Rafik Musa and Ishmael Thindwa remain doubtful ahead of the semifinal.
Wanderers, who beat Big Bullets 1-0 in Lilongwe to win the Carlsberg cup, last month date Blue Eagles this Saturday in a Standard Bank Knock-Out Trophy semifinal in Lilongwe.
