Be Forward Wanderers’ gala shifted
Be Forward Wanderers have shifted their forthcoming awards’ gala from February 4 to March 4.
According to the chairperson of the organising committee, Robert Mbedza, the shift was due to pressure from their supporters, who want more time to vote for outstanding players.
“The idea to have the awards’ gala received a great response from supporters across the country. There are some areas which have not received the cards for the voting process. So, we agreed to extend the voting period to give our fans enough time for voting,” Mbedza said.
The gala is scheduled for Comesa Hall in Blantyre.
Voting cards are going at K1,000.
“The voting process ends on 28 February. We will have time to analyse the voting cards and arrange the results,” he added.
The team intends to award outstanding players in the 2016 season.
Wanderers clinched the Carlsberg Cup, Fisd Cup and the Luso TV Bus Ipite Bonanza championship.
