Be Forward Wanderers have welcomed back three players from injury—just in time ahead of Saturday’s Carlsberg Cup semifinal against surprise package, Mangochi Police FC, at Kamuzu Stadium.
Wanderers’ official facebook page reported on Tuesday that goalkeeper Nenani Juwayo , midfielders Isaac Kaliati and Malumbo Gondwe were back in training.
“Juwayo is set to return to our squad against Mangochi Police to ease goalkeeping problems. In our last three matches against Epac FC, Prison United and Mzuni, we used Vales Kamzere as the second choice to Richard Chipuwa,” reads a statement on the page.
“Versatile midfielder Isaac Kaliati, who missed three matches against Epac, Prison United and Mzuni FC after sustaining a knee injury during a friendly match against Wanderers’ Reserve side, has now returned to full training. Gondwe has also returned to full training after a knock against Kamuzu Barracks.”
The Nomads’ Team Doctor, Samuel Matukuta, confirmed that the players were back on their feet.
Striker Jabulani Linje, who has been out for three months due to a groin injury, is also expected back in training next week.
Left-back Ted Sumani is also recovering. In another semifinal on Sunday, Mafco meet Silver Strikers in Lilongwe.
