Big Bullets AGM shifted

The annual general meeting (AGM) of Nyasa Big Bullets, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been shifted to February 4.

The shift follows a resolution which Bullets’ Board of Trustees and the club’s administrators made over the weekend.

The Supporters’ Executive Committee, led by Stone Mwamadi, petitioned the board earlier this month, asking them to hold an AGM with elections for the fans and the executive committee on agenda.

Wrangles emerged two weeks ago when the trustees announced that they will only conduct the supporters’ elections, only to change the decision.

The People’s Team administrator, MacWorld Themba, yesterday confirmed the latest shift.

Themba , who is also the overseer of the forthcoming AGM, said they wanted to give time for those who are preparing for reports to be presented during the Indaba.

“We are yet to identify a venue where the AGM will take place. On the same day, we will have the supporters’ committee’s elections. Thereafter, we will seek an audience with newly-elected supporters’ committee to see if it is important to hold elections for the executive committee or skip to a later date,” Themba said.

Mwamadi confirmed being informed by the trustees over the change of the AGM’s schedule.

Meanwhile, former Bullets’ chairperson Kondi Msungama told the media recently that he will challenge the incumbent leader Noel Lipipa.
