TNM Super League leaders Nyasa Big Bullets will face wounded Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon in what promises to be a tricky match.

Bullets head into the match in high spirits, having thrashed Silver Strikers 3-1 at Kamuzu Stadium two weeks ago whereas Tigers lost 2-0 to rookies Sable Farming on Wednesday.

This fixture has always been a tricky match regardless of form of the two teams.

However, Bullets enjoyed a double over Tigers last season after beating them 2-0 and 2-1 in the first and second round respectively.

Surely, both teams need to be on top of their game to get a positive result.

For Bullets, they will be looking to cement top spot and they can extend the lead to eight points over second-placed Blue Eagles who will face Mighty Wanderers tomorrow at the same venue.

Bullets are at the summit of the 16-member log table with 32 points from 12 matches, five above Eagles.

But Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa sent a clear message to his troops that Tigers will be a hard nut to crack.

“In football, we have some teams dominating the league, but they struggle when they meet some teams because they will try everything to get the results. When we meet teams at the bottom of the table, we struggle to beat them. They know this is their chance to make a name,”

Pasuwa, who is looking for a fourth straight TNM Super League title said.

In this fixture, Bullets will be without Alick Lungu, Eric Kaonga, John Lanjesi and Yamikani Fodya due to injuries.

Tigers are on position eight on the log table with 15 points from 13 matches and will be also be looking to cement their place in the top half.

Despite a 2-0 loss to Sable, Tigers Coach Trevor Kajawa believes he has rectified the problems.

“It will be a different match and the players are determined to do the job, Kajawa said.

Kajawa has assembled a good squad this season.

Elsewhere, Silver Strikers will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host Moyale Barracks at Silver Stadium.

Before the two-week break, the Bankers lost 3-1 to Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium which also led to suspension of coach Daniel Kabwe.

Silver are on position five with 16 points from 11 matches whereas Moyale are on position nine with 13 points from 12 matches.

In other matches, Ekwendeni Hammers will host Red Lions at Rumphi Stadium.

Games will continue on Sunday, as Mafco host Dedza Dynamos whereas Wanderers will meet Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium.

TN Stars will welcome Civil Service United at Kasungu Stadium whereas Rumphi United will meet Karonga United at Karonga Stadium. At Civo Stadium, Kamuzu Barracks host Sable.
