Big Bullets commits to charitable exercise

Nyasa Big Bullets lived up to their pre-season tradition after donating 40,000 face masks to Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe Sunday.
Bullets Director Fleetwood Haiya, who is also Nyasa Manufacturing Company Managing Director, said they made the donation to the referral hospital to help it fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This is not the first time for us to donate items to a hospital. We normally do it before the start of any season. As a company, we have also been affected by this pandemic, but we thought it wise to reach out to the [Kamuzu] Central Hospital as one way of appreciating their good work,” he said.
KCH Principal Nursing Officer, Christina Chimenya, hailed Bullets and NMC for the timely donation.
“We would like to express our appreciation to them for the donation. The battle against Covid-19 is far from over,,” she said.
Chimenya asked other well-wishers to emulate Bullets’ gesture.
For the past three years, Bullets have been doing charitable work before the start of a new season under the auspices of club owners NMC as part of its corporate social responsibility.— Additional reporting nyasabigbullets.com
