A Nyasa Big Bullets fan, Samuel Paliyani, crowned his teams’ memorable season after winning Pokopoko ndi Zampira Promotion grand prize of K2 million.
Paliyani correctly predicted that Bullets would beat TN Stars 2-0.
TNM’s Brands and Communication Manager, Limbani Nsapato, speaking during the grand draw at TNM Headquarter in Blantyre, said this year’s promotion was a success.
“We are delighted to note that the overall goal of the promotion was achieved. The strong bond created between fans and the league through the constant and effective engagements was massive. During the course of the promotion, we have changed people’s lives through different prizes we dished out on weekly and monthly basis,” he said before highlighting that TNM flew two lucky winners to Spain to watch a game between Real Madrid and Galatasary.
Super league of Malawi (Sulom) General Secretary, Williams Banda, said the promotion created fun and engagement with football fans.
“It was a wonderful occasion considering that we have a problem of infrastructure so this competition created another venue where some supporters and players could patronise,” he said.
During the final draw the second and runner up won a motorbike and plasma television set respectively.
