Big Bullets’ Ireland-based striker in Friday

Struggling TNM Super League side Nyasa Big Bullets have received a major boost as Ireland-based forward Andy Kamlete is expected to arrive in the country Friday.

The former Green Hawks attacker sealed a two-year deal with Bullets during the last transfer window but delayed joining his new club as he was busy with other issues in the European island nation.

The player’s manager, Klaus Chikufenji, said his client will arrive through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.

“Malawi football has come alive again with Kamlete. He is skillful and knows what to do with the ball on the pitch. We already processed his International Transfer Certificate and he is free to play. He finished the season in Ireland by winning the golden boot award with 28 league and 13 cup goals to help his second division team, Coolock Village FC, earn promotion” said Chikufenji.

Kamlete went to the European island nation for studies in 2013 after playing for Southern Region Premier Division teams Envirom FC and Green Hawks.

During his time with Green Hawks, he won the Premier Division Golden Boot award and repeated the feat while with Envirom.

Bullets General Secretary, Albert Chigoga said the arrival of Kamlete will bring competition in the team.

Chigoga believes the striker could be the answer to Bullets’ scoring problems.
