Sports accessories dealer, IntoSports, has donated 10 match-balls valued at K1.5 million to Nyasa Big Bullets as the two parties unveiled a partnership during a ceremony held at Chichiri Shopping Mall in Blantyre yesterday.
Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Escort Chinula, said it was a win-win partnership as IntoSports was also the team’s merchandise supplier.
“These are 2019 match-balls and we are excited to receive them. They would have cost a fortune if we had bought them ourselves. I was hired to bring in more partners to the team. We cannot only be relying on the sponsor.
“We need to find partners for the team to move forward. In sports business, you need sportswear from reputable suppliers to keep things going. Our supplier has been Into Sports all along and this is just a continuation of what we have been doing,” Chinula said.
IntoSports Managing Director, Shabir Ismail, said he was also excited with the partnership and expressed hope that both parties would safeguard it.
“Bullets is one of the biggest teams in Malawi. The team has a large following and it will give us good business. It is our desire to have this partnership for as long as possible,” Ismail said.
Other companies that are in partnership with Bullets are HTD Limited and Axa Bus Company.
