Big Bullets wary of Blue Eagles arrest
Treble-chasing Nyasa Big Bullets have confessed that they face an uphill task to stop Blue Eagles in a TNM Super League match set for Chilomoni Stadium in Blantyre this afternoon.
Bullets are third in the title race and are oozing with confidence after winning the Carlsberg Cup.
The Peoples Team can complete a treble if they win the title race and the Fisd Challenge Cup.
Bullets Assistant Coach, Elia Kananji, said stopping Eagles is a big task but not impossible.
“Eagles have suspended their coach (Audrow Makonyola) and have a new one (Christopher Sibale). Obviously after such changes, things often change as players and the new coach try to prove themselves. This is a tricky match but as Bullets we are going for full points in order to keep up with our rivals (Be Forward Wanderers and Silver Strikers),” he said.
Kananji can now be relieved that his blunt striking force is finding the net after struggling for goals for the better part of the season.
Goalpoachers Chiukepo Msowoya and Muhammed Sulumba will be in the spotlight as they aim at terrorizing the cops.
Midfielders Mike Mkwate, Nelson Kangunje and Fischer Kondowe are the other potential match winners.
But Eagles acting coach Sibale said his charges should not be written off as they can arrest Bullets right at their base.
“We don’t have any pressure going into the match. We will try our best to stop them at their home ground,” he said.
Eagles have some exciting players including Gregory Nachipo, Maxwell Salambula and Gilbert Chirwa who are capable of crashing any side on a good day.
In another top Super League game scheduled for this afternoon, pacesetters Be Forward Wanderers lock horns with Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium.
Elsewhere, Red Lions host Silver Strikers at Balaka Stadium whereas Mafco entertain Mzuni at Chitowe.
Masters Security clash with Dwangwa United at Dedza Stadium in an afternoon that promises fireworks as the top three, Wanderers, Silver and Bullets, continue to fight for full points.
The bottom two, Blantyre United and Chitipa United, will also be fighting like wounded buffaloes in their bid to escape relegation.
