As the TNM Super League first round nears conclusion, it has transpired that Nyasa Big Bullets are yet to offer Technical Director, Billy Tewesa and assistant coach, Lloyd Nkhwazi, contracts.

The news was revealed on Sunday during the club’s Extra-ordinary General (EGM) held at Kumudzi Eco-Centre in Lilongwe.

The meeting ushered in Noel Lipipa as the club’s interim chairperson replacing ousted Sam Chilunga.

Bullets acting-General Secretary, Kelvin Moyo, confirmed that the two have not signed the contracts, but refused to divulge more details.

“The committee that was doing the interviews is best placed to answer. I don’t even know their perks, but we will normalise the situation,” he said.

Reports suggest that goalkeepers’ trainer, Swadick Sanudi, is also yet to sign a contract, but he has been offered an improved deal.

Tewesa on Tuesday confirmed that he has been working with Bullets without a contract for close to two years.

“Maybe the former executive committee was thinking that I am surplus to requirements, but I know that my contract is with the fans because they love me a lot. I love the team and that is why I have been working without a contract,” he said.

According to inside sources, the two were not offered contracts because the Chilunga-led administration was planning to demote the two to the reserve side.

However, the decision was reversed because the two are fans’ favourites. Nkhwazi was on Tuesday not readily available for comment.
