“I will work on five music videos but at the moment I have already done three,” he said.

One of the videos that has been finalised is ‘Ndikonda Mlungu’, which he features saxophonist Dan Sibale.

Kaunda said he has always been inspired by hymns hence working on the collection.

“I respect hymns, they are powerful and in them we get messages that are touching. We sing them in church but I feel we don’t do much and we do not do justice to them,” he said.

The album has been recorded and mastered at Mathumela Studio in Lilongwe by Lulu.

Some of the songs in the album include ‘Nkwabwino Kukhulupilira’, ‘Ndikonda Mlungu’, ‘Sing’anga Nkulu’, ‘Kwa Inu Yesu Ndilira’, ‘Hossana’, ‘Potuluka M’mudzimo’, ‘Ndidze Pafupipa’, ‘Nauthenga Wa Mbuye’, and ‘Akhristu Limbikani’.

Apart from working with Lulu, who played drums, keyboards and lead guitar, Kaunda’s son Billy Jnr also had a hand in playing the lead guitar.
