Black Isco drops 5th album

Hip-hop artist Black Isco has released a fifth album titled Masters of Our Fate which he has described as the most reflective in his discography so far.

Black Isco, real name Francis Chanthunya, said his fresh and fifth album describes who he is and that it is a project that he has produced on his own.

“It is also the first album I have made with zero curse words. Rap music tends to get a bad reputation because of things like cursing or promoting lewd behaviour; so, I wanted to make something that was void of those things,” he said.

Black Isco added that this was his first album to be carved in his 30s.

“I was thinking about life in this age. There are a number of songs that people are set to enjoy in the album and they include ‘Sugar is a Drug’ which is about avoiding over-indulgence, ‘My People’ and ‘White Wine’ are about striving to create a better community and better friendships with loved ones,” he said.

The artist also zeroed in on other tracks such as ‘Breathe’, ‘All Good’ and ‘A Way Out’ which he said are looking at Malawi with a focus on corruption at different levels of governance.

Black Isco is also a producer, writer and entrepreneur.

He said the album is available to stream on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Tidal and other streaming platforms.

“This album is a gift to the people during this festive season. I am also happy in that I am ending 2022 on a high with the album and next year is about breaking records,” Black Isco said.

The artist’s other albums are Lingua Franca, No More Excuses, Carpe Noctem and The Service Kit
