Black Rhyno Entertainment led by hip hop artist Tay Grin is set to bring into the country Nigeria’s star Wizkid in a musical event dubbed The Black Rhyno Wizkid concert.
The concert is scheduled to take place on June 4, 2016 in Lilongwe.
Tay Grin, who has recently released a video of his latest song ‘Chipapapa’ which he collaborated with another Nigerian musician 2Baba formerly 2Face confirmed the development yesterday.
“Yes its true Black Rhyno Entertainment is bringing Wizkid,” said Tay Grin.
He could not be drawn to say the venue of the concert and he said they were still working on it.
“We will confirm the venue once everything is in black and white, for now I can break it that Black Rhyno is bringing Wizkid,” he said.
Black Rhyno which was established in 2009 with an aim of promoting local artists, has in the past years also brought other stars among them Nigeria’s 2Baba, South Africa’s AKA, Nigeria’s Ice Prince and Nameless and Brick and Lace.
However, the show on June 4 might clash with another concert by South Africa’s Micasa organised by other promoters.
The South African house group recently announced in a video that they would be performing in the country.
Wizkid real name Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer. He started his musical career at the age of 11, releasing a collaborative album with Glorious Five entitled Lil Prinz.
