Blacks, Soldier meet at CoolPro

LUCIUS—We want to give people a treat

Black Missionaries, Soldier Lucius Banda and his Zembani Band will tonight come face to face in a rare gig at CoolPro International Club in Zomba.

Dubbed the Clash of the Giants gig by organisers, the show will star Black Missionaries and Anthony Makondetsa, Lucius Banda and Zembani Band, Nepman and Sam Smak, among others.

Owner of CoolPro International, Duffy Chikakuda, said the show is a must-attend event.

“We need entertainment in all corners of the country and Malosa used to be vibrant in the past but, then, there was that dryness at some point. This time, we, as CoolPro, want to put Malosa back on the map,” Chikakuda said.

He added that the gig was a warm-up for Black Missionaries, which will be launching their Kuimba 11 next weekend while Soldier will also be continuing his Crimes album tour.

“It is a great platform where people will enjoy some new songs from Black Missionaries as they gear up for the launch of Kuimba 11. As for Soldier, people will enjoy songs from Crimes album,” Chikakuda said.

Ahead of the launch, Black Missionaries have released two music videos – ‘Special Lover’ and ‘Gombe la Nyanja’.

The two songs are part of the latest album.

Team Entertainers has taken up the task of organising the Kuimba 11 launches, which start on June 29 at Robin’s Park in Blantyre, Lilongwe Golf Club on July 1 and Squirrels Park in Mzuzu on July 28.
