Blacks take voting message to the stage

Reggae group Black Missionaries alongside Anthony Makondetsa, Khozie Masimbe and Yanjanani Chumbu on Sunday performed at Ozone Refreshment Centre in Machinjiri, Blantyre.

This was the group’s second performance at the venue, which, again, attracted an impressive audience.

Fans enjoyed reggae vibes on a chilly night, with Black Missionaries closing the show again.

Apart from entertaining people with reggae vibes, the group took time out to inform people to go and vote to choose leaders of their choice.

“It is that time again when we go out to elect leaders; so, let us all go and vote on May 21 2019 and make sure you choose the right leaders. Again, let us maintain peace and avoid violence,” the group’s lead vocalist Anjiru Fumulani said.

Fumulani said artists have a duty to inform the masses about the importance of voting.

“Voting gives you a chance to elect a leader of your choice and, so, as Black Missionaries, Anthony Makondetsa, Khozie Masimbe and Yanjanani Chumbu we will continue to use our show to inform people of the importance about this,” he said.
