In gearing up for the release of the album, Blak Jak has been dropping singles.

The former Nyasa Guruz star said people should brace for more vibes from him.

The musician’s project manager Funwayo Mumba, better known as Martin Anjelz, said the album has a fusion of different genres, among them dancehall, reggae and afro-pop.

“The album is done. Now we are doing final runs on the singles, so we can propel the promotion of the collection with the right attitude and quality,” Mumba said.

Blak Jak last week released a single titled ‘Mula’ in which he featured Daredevilz.

In this song, the artist is confroting a girl he is dating that if she continues playing too hard to get, she will be surprised when he ends up courting her close friend or sister and make her her in-law.

Mumba said the album is a new journey for Blak Jak.

In the album, the ‘Wadya Iwe’ creator has featured artists such as Hyphen, Gwamba, Bucci, Daredevilz, Valine and Leslie.

Blak Jak said he has not been active in music as most of his works need more research.

“This project came in 2018 when I released ‘Ma Rubbish’ single and this project is dear to me that I have fully invested my art by expanding it. The collection speaks to the inner me and I am excited for people to get hold of it,” he said.

The 20-track album has songs such as ‘Mula’, ‘Mu Hood Mwaine’, ‘Adikitedi’, ‘Wamisala’, ‘Abambo’, and ‘Mitsubishi’.

The album has been recorded at In-house Media with several co-executive producers including Yesaya, Blage, Macia and Janta.
