Blantyre Man wins car in Times Group promo

A second-hand clothes vendor from Chirimba in Blantyre, Chiza Gondwe, on Friday became a Mazda Demio grand prize winner in the Times Group Changu Pamalo Promotion.
The promotion was aimed at creating awareness of Times Group’s SMS facility and short code of 1895.
When contacted during the final draw held at the Times Group Entertainment Studios in Blantyre, Gondwe had mixed feelings of disbelief and excitement.
He said he was excited to win the prize which he rated as an early Christmas gift.
Times Group Marketing Manager Lavern Chitakata said the media house hosted the promotion to also reward its audience for loyalty.
“We are pleased with the outcome of the promotion as it has helped further interaction between Times and our audience,” she said.
She said Times is also running “Go Times 360 Malawi Promotion” where people are asked to invite others to like the Times 360 page of Facebook.
Two other people Isaac Chibayo from Mbayani- Blantyre and Bertha Gondwe from Mwanza won motorcycles while others walked away with smartphones, kiliye kiliye decoders and branded T-Shirts.
