Bloemfontein Celtic release Limbikani Mzava
Flames defender Limbikani Mzava is now a free agent after his club Bloemfontein Celtic released him upon the expiry of his contract with the Premier Soccer League side.
Mzava, alongside teammates Joel Mogorosi and Mogogi Gabonamong, are now free to look for new teams.
According to the club’s website, the players’ contracts at the club were coming to an end and Phunya Sele Sele opted to allow them to leave with the expiration of their deals.
“Joel and Mogogi’s contracts came to an end we felt it will be prudent for us to let them go,” Celtic head coach Clinton Larsen said on Bloemfontein Celtic’s official site.
“We value and appreciate their enormous contribution, especially Mogorosi, thinking of his massive display when we won the Telkom Knockout Cup.”
The coach said Mzava had already made up his mind to leave the club even before the his contract expired.
“With Mzava, we never wanted him to leave but he had already made up his mind after starting the season mostly sitting on the bench,” he said.
“It is painful to lose diligent players but again we really welcome their modest manner in accepting the decision taken. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”
Mvaza will now be heading to Mpumalanga Black Aces after signing a pre-contract back in February this year.
